Tylney Hall Wedding Photographer: Maria & Marian

Maria contacted me a few months ago to enquire about providing a few hours of coverage of her and husband to be, Marian’s, Registry office Wedding ceremony due to take place in early December. Maria explained that they also required a photo shoot together afterwards. I suggested the grounds of my partner hotel, Tylney Hall.
So following are a few of the images that we captured of the newlyweds around the stunning grounds.

Hampshire Newborn Photographer: The Oliver Family

Here’s a few of the Oliver family’s portraits that I captured at Tylney Hall Hotel recently to celebrate their, at the time, imminent new arrival (welcome to the world Edward!).

This was the first photo shoot in their ‘Bump to Baby’ programme with me and I simply can’t wait to capture little Edward, and the rest of his lovely family, through his first year :0).

Tylney Hall Wedding & Portrait Photographer: The Cran family and their cousins

Well what a fabulous time I had recently capturing some lovely memories for these 2 families in the grounds of Tylney Hall Hotel. Initially the focus was going to be on 5 year old Erin and her little 3 year old brother Owen. However, the scheduling of their photo shoot coincided with the arrival of their 2 cousins, down on a few days holiday from Scotland.

So it was a great opportunity to capture them all together, running around playing in the gorgeous evening sunshine falling across the equally gorgeous grounds of Tylney Hall Hotel.

Tylney Hall Wedding & Portrait Photographer: The Hobbs Children

A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by Rae, the mother of 13 year old twins Hazel and Henry and their younger brother Hugo. Rae explained that her family were real ‘outdoorsy’ people and therefore was looking to create some really fun, natural portraits of her children definitely outdoors and more specifically ‘with lots of trees’. Rae said she had trawled the internet and  had been confronted with lots of (quote) “boring studio stuff”, but my Lifestyle portraits stood out. Obviously I was delighted she had found me and I suggested Tylney Hall Hotel (where I am resident photographer) as the venue. With the huge Redwood trees plus many other fantastic settings all around the grounds to explore, I said that would be the perfect setting.

So we met up one gloriously sunny evening in early July 2013 and set about capturing the children….just ‘being’. Here’s a small selection of their portraits.

Tylney Hall Hotel Wedding & Portrait Photographer: Charles at 11 months

It’s my great pleasure to have been photographing this very handsome little boy since he was a big bump in his Mum’s tum as part of his on-going bump to baby programme with me. This time around Charles had reached 11 months old.

But if you look closely you will spot another bump developing rather nicely. This is Charles’ little sister, due to arrive in a couple of months time. Of course I’m so thrilled for them, even more so now that they have asked me to conduct a bump to baby programme for her too!

So on to this set of portraits. Lisa & Duncan wanted a ‘lifestyle’ type set of portraits so where better than the absolutely gorgeous grounds of Tylney Hall Hotel. This place is so photogenic all year round, perhaps the peak being at this time of year with the stung wisteria out in all it’s glory. Here’s a small selection of their portraits.

Tylney Hall Hotel Wedding & Portrait Photographer: Daffodils, cute baby smiles and a 1965 Commer Camper Van!

Meet this lovely little family, the subjects of one of my all-time favourite Lifestyle Portraits sessions last week at Tylney Hall Hotel. 9 month Alice was on top smiley form, the wonderful carpets of daffodils all around the grounds were coming into full bloom and the session was a great excuse for Dad Sam to give his treasured 1965 Commer camper van a good polishing, ready to be included in some of their portraits to augment some very special family memories.

In fact the idea to include the camper van only came about through the prep meeting that I like to have with all of my clients before the actual portraits session. I place a lot of emphasis on these pre-meets in order for us to all get to know each other a little, find out what the family enjoy doing, and to generate some ideas / concepts / plans for creating the portraits. I was taking them through my portfolio when Sam noticed some portraits I created last year of another family featuring their VW camper van. Sam immediately turned to me and asked if we could include their Commer camper van and of course my answer was a resounding YES!

Tylney Hall Hotel Lifestyle Portraits and Wedding Photographer: Sarah & Alan

Last Sunday I had the great pleasure of meeting and photographing Sarah & Alan who were enjoying a ‘Lifestyle Photography Break’ at Tylney Hall Hotel in celebration of the their recent engagement and Alan’s birthday.

After a brief introduction in the hotel reception, we wrapped up warm and headed outdoors to the magnificent Italian terrace, enjoying conversation along the way. It didn’t take long before I was enjoying Sarah & Alan’s company as if they were clients I had worked with for years. Maybe it was Alan’s renditions of the Michael McIntyre dance that did it!

As with all my Lifestyle photography work it was a case of putting them into certain settings, depending on where the best light was and then just standing back and capturing them as naturally as possible.

Tylney Hall Hotel Photographer: Lifestyle Portraits, The Richards Family November 2012

Another day, another delightful young family captured in the wonderful grounds of Tylney Hall Hotel.

Somehow my fortune with the weather has improved massively from the early summer when it seemed I spent most of my time glued to weather forecasts, frequently having to re-arrange photo shoots to dodge the showers (although in the case of weddings of course there was no such flexibility!)

So when Claire initially contacted me a couple of weeks ago we plumped for last Friday to conduct the photo shoot. You probably don’t need reminding about the weather over the last few days but sandwiched between the biggest and longest downpours since, err, the Summer, Friday morning was glorious. Beautiful soft late autumnal light bringing the best out of all the colours and the smiles on the faces of the Richards family. It was even pretty mild.

Anyhow, here are some of their portraits captured as we spent a fun-filled morning exploring the various different settings around this absolutely stunning hotel, steeped in history and nestled in the rolling Hampshire countryside.

Tylney Hall Hotel Photographer: Lifetstyle Portraits, The Chen Family October 2012

Vibrant Autumnal colours, a sunny day and the gorgeous features and grounds of Tylney Hall Hotel all combined for a thoroughly enjoyable photo shoot with the Chen family yesterday, guests of the hotel on a ‘Lifestyle Photography Break’.
